Pogba tells Juventus players he wants to return

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has informed his former Juventus teammates over his desire to return to Turin, according to Corriere dello Sport.

During the meeting between the two clubs in the Champions League earlier this month, the World Cup winner told players from the Italian champions over his determination to rejoin.

It is also understood that the Bianconeri requested to be kept informed over the future of Pogba during informal talks.

Juventus’ informal talks with United over Pogba

Juventus and Manchester United are understood to have held informal talks over Pogba earlier this month, according to the Metro.

The Italians have a first refusal option on the player – which was included as part of the £89m deal.

The 25-year-old has a fractured relationship with manager Jose Mourinho and has been linked with a move away.

FC Barcelona are also keen on the player, but Juve appear to be in the driving seat to secure a deal.

Officials from the Old Lady have informed the Red Devils they would be interested in a deal to re-sign Pogba.

Champions League review: Juventus 1-2 Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo’s first Champions League goal for the Bianconeri was quickly overshadowed by Manchester United’s remarkable comeback.

The 33-year-old produced a stunning strike before two late goals from the Red Devils stole the show.

Juan Mata equalised with an exquisite free-kick just four minutes from time before a Leonardo Bonucci own goal sealed the win.
