Romelu Lukaku expecting to stay at Man United- Standard

Lukaku struggles

Romelu Lukaku has not had the best of time since joining Manchester United.

In his last season with Everton, the Belgian was one of the top strikers in the Premier League, perhaps even in Europe.

However, since his big-money switch to the red half of Manchester, Lukaku has struggled for form, especially this past season.

In 45 appearances across all competitions, Lukaku scored just 15 and assisted four throughout 2018/19, a very average record.

Also, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at United, he dropped Lukaku in favour of Marcus Rashford for a few games.

Inter links

After his struggles with Manchester United, Serie A outfit Inter Milan have shown an interest in Lukaku.

Sky Sports News reported on Friday the 12th of July that Inter had made an official approach for Lukaku.

The Red Devils are believed to want around £75m for Lukaku.

Now though, the Evening Standard has put a damper on Lukaku’s move to Inter.

As per the ES, Lukaku is becoming increasingly resigned to staying at Man United this summer due to Inter not coming up with a suitable offer in the last week or so.

Lukaku is said to have doubts about Inter Milan’s financial situation.

According to the Standard, United will dismiss any deals that involve a loan or players in exchange.
