Arsenal: Deals ‘agreed’ for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney & Chelsea’s David Luiz while Daniele Rugani may join too

Arsenal & Celtic’s Kieran Tierney

Unless something goes horribly wrong, Arsenal should finally complete the signing of Celtic’s Kieran Tierney today.

Tierney has been linked with a move to Arsenal throughout the summer, and that deal should happen on deadline day.

Various reports all indicate that Tierney’s transfer to Arsenal is wrapped up.

Sky Sports have confirmed that “Arsenal have agreed a fee with Celtic over the transfer of Kieran Tierney who is on his way to London for a medical”.

How much will Arsenal pay Celtic?

The Scottish Sun have delved into the financials behind the Tierney transfer:

Kieran Tierney will finally sign for Arsenal today in a record-breaking £25 million deal.

The move will see KT become the most expensive Scot in history when he pens a five-year deal worth around £75,000 a week.

Chelsea & David Luiz

Unai Emery is also set to sign David Luiz from Chelsea, reports the Mirror’s Darren Lewis.

Links between Luiz and Arsenal sprung up on Wednesday, amid reports that Frank Lampard has told the Brazilian he’s not a starter this season.

Of course, Luiz only recently signed a contract extension to remain with the Blues.

However, the defender seems poised to leave Stamford Bridge for a second time, as the Mirror announce:

Chelsea are poised to agree the sensational sale of David Luiz to Arsenal after a string of explosive rows.

Frank Lampard is understood to have moved decisively after his first big test and a deal worth around £8million is expected to be agreed ahead of Thursday’s 5pm deadline.

Juventus & Daniele Rugani

Could Arsenal end up signing three defenders on transfer deadline day?

Another rumoured target this summer has been Juventus centre-half Daniele Rugani.

According to Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla, Arsenal are set for a “photo finish” in their efforts to land Rugani.

Crucially, Rugani has reportedly agreed to join the Gunners on loan, while Juventus are open to completing the deal.

Alfredo Pedulla also outlines how the Rugani-Arsenal transfer may be structured: a two-year loan agreement with a compulsory option to buy.

Yet, the Rugani transfer isn’t a done deal for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, it’s claimed there isn’t enough time for Rugani to head to London, so Arsenal will have to travel to Milan to try and reach an agreement.

Secondly, Arsenal and Juventus still need to agree their financial terms.
