Messi pips Ronaldo to top spot: FIFA 20’s Top 10-rated players revealed

The top 10 players set to be featured in EA Sports’ soon-to-be-released FIFA 20 have this evening been confirmed.

The latest edition of football’s most-played video game is set to hit stores in a couple of weeks’ time.

EA’s FIFA 20, available across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC Windows and Nintendo Switch, will be officially put on sale on the 27th of September.

As such, in anticipation of the game’s official release, the usual chatter surrounding just who is set to lead the way as the highest-rated performer has been circulating for some time now.

And the news has today been confirmed, with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, as expected, taking the top 2 spots.

It is the Barcelona icon, though, who edges out his long-term rival, earning a 94 overall rating:

Ronaldo runner-up, Liverpool duo also feature

Next up comes Ronaldo on 93, followed by Neymar in 3rd, and Eden Hazard in 4th, as showcased below:

Rounding out the rest of the top 10 are Manchester City standout Kevin De Bruyne, Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, Liverpool pair Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, current Ballon d’Or holder Luka Modric, and Barcelona shot-stopper Marc-André ter Stegen:
